About Us

In a world where it is becoming increasingly easy to shop for everything online, even your groceries, we recognize the need to know who you are shopping with. We aim to be more than just another faceless online store among an endless sea of websites.

How HDE came to be:

HDE started in 2007, by a young couple who had a dream to play with gadgets and gizmos all day long since they are of the Geekus Maximus species. Desperately wanting to make this dream a reality, they figured out a way to tinker all day and earn extra income, all the while working from their basement in their pjs. They started small, finding various electronics and items that they could offer at a competitive price. They were ambitious though, rarely turning away new products they found. They felt that if someone was making it, someone out there wanted to buy it.

As you may have already guessed their dream eventually outgrew their basement. Their former game and bar room turned into storage, their couch was covered in shipping materials, and there was barely any room to walk. It was time to move. So they made the big decision to quit their day jobs, buy a warehouse, and expand their business.

Several years later, they now own a warehouse in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania and have added a few more members to the HDE family.

Why should you shop with HDE?

When HDE started to develop into a bustling business, we sat down to decide on a few core values that HDE would follow--to provide great service to their customers and to make it clear why their customers should shop with them:

Shop with HDE Directly: We house everything we sell. We are not a marketplace, avoiding potentially unreliable third party sellers that might not take responsibility for what they sell to you.

Simple Shipping fees: A no hassle, flat shipping cost on all US orders. Options to upgrade shipping services are available if urgency requires faster shipping.

One Location: Everything is shipped directly from our warehouse in Pennsylvania.

Real People to Talk To: Our customer service team, offering general and technical support, is located right here in our Pennsylvania office and they are happy to help you should any issues arise.

We promote the spirit of volunteerism and being active members in the community. Giving back is important to us and we make it a priority to contribute to and participate in activities in our community. Local organizations and events that we have worked with in the past, as well as ones that we plan to support in the future, are:

We are always looking for non-profits and activities within the community to support. We try to have a group participate annually in Tough Mudder in PA. Read up on our spectator experience of this event in 2011. We'll be there again in April 2012!!
